Q. Is bed-linen included?

A. Yes, linen is provided on arrival and the beds will be made up ready . House towels are also included.


Q. Is cleaning included?

A. Yes, the final clean is included,cleaning during you holiday is not included.  We do ask that furniture and other items are returned to their original positions and that all personal items are removed from the house.


Q. Is there a shop in the village?

A. Yes, one which sells day to day supplies. Large shopping trips are best carried out in Pezenas where you will find 4 or 5 large supermarkets.


Q. Where can we eat tonight?

A. Probably some thing easy, if you fancy going straight into the local atmosphere try one of the cafés/bars in Montagnac   

(5 minutes by car), or for greater choice any of a dozen or more in Pezenas(10 minutes by car). Even easier a pizza from Montagnac .


Q. Which beach is the best?

A. All beaches are good, but it does depend on what you want. Roche Longue is good for young children, having rock pools and a gentle slope into the sea,there is good wind surfing from Cap d’Agde. You will find that all the beaches are well cared for and are often “Blue Flag” standard.

Q. Which is the nearest beach.

A. Meze beach is the nearest, about 15 minutes away. Meze has a port, restaurants, boat trips etc.


Q. Which are the best markets?

A. There is a market to visit every day in one village or another. The Saturday market in Pezenas in very good, stretching right through the centre of the town. A good day for visiting the cafes and buying flowers and fresh vegetables. The Beziers market is very good on a Friday. There are three markets, a flower and vegetable, an old fashioned poultry, game, fish and vegetable, plus one which has every thing from marked down designer dresses to knives and forks.  Your nearest market is in Montagnac on a Friday morning.


Q. What is the area famous for?

A. The region revolves around wine. In the past over produced and generally of lesser quality, it is now produced in smaller volumes and to a higher standard. Pezenas is well known for its antique shops. Being close to the sea there is also a nautical interest.

Bouzigues (20 minutes) is famous for oysters and mussels. Sete has the recipe for the “Tielle”, a soft crust sea-food pie.

The area has a culture of feeling independent of other areas. Having had a strong religious foundation based on liberty and freedom of expression.


Q. Is the pool safe for children?

A. All children in the pool should be supervised. There is a  barrier or an alarm  which will operate should somebody fall in. It does not, however,  replace adult supervision.


Q. What happens to the security deposit?

A. We receive the payment at the same time as the balance payment. A refund by bank transfer, will be forwarded to you  after you leave , as described in the conditions (page 4, number 4 ). In the same way as you would need to replace a broken item in your own home, we will ask you to pay for any breakages in our house. A “Taxe de Séjour” is payable in line with the details in the house book “approx £1.50 per adult per night). We collect this on behalf of the Tourist Office either in cash, or from the security deposit.


Q. What appliances do we need to bring with us?

A. You will find most things you need in the house, including two hair driers , iron and ironing board, CD player (bring your own CD’s). DVD player (there are some in the house, or bring your own).If in any doubt about what to bring, please ask.


Q. How do I contact you whilst I’m staying in the house?                                                                                                                                   

 A. We will call in once or twice to water the garden and check the pool. We live in the village and so you can call by, phone or email.  All our contact information is in the house book.
